Sangoma Solutions Bolster Ingram Micro’s UC and VoIP Solution Offerings

MARKHAM, ONTARIO–(Marketwired – April 23, 2013) – Sangoma Technologies Corporation (TSX VENTURE:STC), a leading provider of hardware and software components that enable or enhance IP Communications Systems for both voice and data, announced that it has entered into a distribution agreement with the United Kingdom (UK) Division of Ingram Micro, a global leader in delivering leading edge telecommunications solutions. Under the agreement, the Ingram Micro line card in the UK and Europe will include Sangoma’s NetBorder Lync™ Express, an all-in-one Lync deployment appliance, the NetBorder VoIP media gateway series, providing TDM-to-IP interconnection, and the newly minted NetBorder SBC series of Session Border Controllers (SBC) from Sangoma, for SIP trunking and IP-to-IP interworking support.

“Ingram Micro is highly respected around the globe, and a perfect partner for Sangoma as we look to continue our growth and increase our leadership in the Lync market,” said Bill Wignall, chief executive officer and president of Sangoma. “We expect that our relationship with Ingram Micro will help us further expand our market share in the growing Lync ecosystem space. Our Lync Express offering is attracting a lot of attention, and it’s just one of the exciting new products from Sangoma as we continue to broaden our portfolio in the service provider and enterprise segments.”

To address the growing interest in Lync, and the concern by some customers that Lync can be complex to deploy, Ingram Micro has developed a bundle created around Lync Express to facilitate deployments of up to 500 Lync seats. The bundle includes an onboarding tool for new resellers wishing to learn about deploying Lync, as well as training and professional services options.

NetBorder Lync Express from Sangoma is an integrated appliance that provides all the core capabilities needed in any Lync deployment. The solution contains many hardware and software components including Microsoft® Windows server, Microsoft Lync server, Sangoma’s Session Border Controller, and Sangoma’s NetBorder Express VoIP gateway, all pre-installed by Sangoma in an easy-to-use appliance. The rack-mountable unit is available in a variety of configurations to support PSTN connections, including E1/T1/J1 compliant digital telephony spans, ISDN Basic Rate connections, and FXS line connections for any legacy emergency phone or fax requirements.

“The addition of Sangoma to our vendor lineup, combined with the compelling proposition we are developing through our partnerships with other market-leading manufacturers, lends significant weight to our value proposition in the Unified Communications space,” commented Jon Bunyard, director of the Advanced Solutions UK Division at Ingram Micro. “We consider UC a growing market and will be showcasing our existing vendor ecosystem at the upcoming Convergence Summit North in Manchester, where we look forward to talking with resellers about the opportunities these partnerships represent in the voice space.”

Sangoma’s industry-leading solution portfolio enables the interworking of a wide variety of disparate TDM and IP networks, clouds, protocols, services, devices, and applications. Its portfolio includes award-winning voice and data boards, transcoding and gateway software, standalone gateway appliances for SS7 and TDM-to-SIP, wireless boards, multiplexers, Microsoft Lync gateways, and session border controllers.
