HUNTSVILLE, Ala., January 13, 2015—Digium®, Inc., the Asterisk® Company, today announced it launched Digium Live!, a web-based series focused on current technology and business communications topics. Brian Ferguson, Digium’s Unified Communications (UC) expert and product marketing manager for the Switchvox business phone system, hosts the bi-weekly series which is available on Digium’s YouTube channel. Digium Live! is an educational series featuring interviews with Digium customers and channel partners, as well as industry thought leaders covering topics like cloud services, UC, and Web real-time communications (WebRTC).

“The series was developed to provide SMBs and enterprise customers with a better understanding of the technology trends influencing the role of communications within organizations today, as well as to provide more information about Digium products and services,” said Leslie Conway, vice president of global marketing for Digium. “We want to give decision-makers information to help them solve their communications challenges and improve their businesses by integrating UC and other cloud-based solutions into their organizations.”

The pilot episode of Digium Live! features an interview with Danny Windham, CEO of Digium. The interview expands on an article Danny wrote about business communications trends expected to influence business operations in 2015. Some of the trends in the article, and those highlighted in the first episode of Digium Live!, include the move to more efficient business models with real-time communications, the continued move to put phone systems and other services in the cloud, and the rapid dependency of mobility in the workplace.
